Dennis Mileti to give Keynote Address at 25th EPC

The 25th Emergency Preparedness Conference will be held November 6-8, 2012, at the Sheraton Wall Centre in downtown Vancouver.

Professor Dennis Mileti will give the Keynote Address: "Why Things Continue to Get Worse"

Prof. Mileti noted that: "This talk will offer a critical explanation for why natural hazards risk and losses continue to worsen despite all the positive things everyone, over many generation and decades, has ever done to solve the problem. The "root causes" of hazards and losses from them will be laid bare, and light shed on a pathway to a more productive future."
